Evokly
Pixieset alternative

A Pixieset alternative built for events

Pixieset charges for storage and keeps full white-label for its upper plans. Evokly charges per event, hosts photos in Europe and lets every guest find their own photos with a selfie.

Is Evokly an alternative to Pixieset?

Yes for event photographers: weddings, galas, conferences, corporate events, where dozens of people want their own photos out of thousands. Evokly adds GDPR-compliant facial recognition, guest uploads through a QR code and hosting in the European Union. No for print sales or studio portrait proofing: Pixieset, Pic-Time or ShootProof remain better equipped there.

Why look for an alternative to Pixieset

A price that follows storage

Pixieset's free plan stops at 3 GB, the Basic plan at 20 USD a month caps at 100 GB. An event photographer delivering thousands of photos a year watches the bill follow the volume. Evokly charges per event, whatever the number of photos.

White-label waits for the Portfolio plan

Your own domain, no Pixieset logo and emails under your name require the Portfolio plan at 40 USD a month. With Evokly, per-event branding is available from Event Pro, and full white-label with a dedicated domain on the Pro plan.

The client scrolls the whole album

Pixieset has no facial recognition: at a 150-guest wedding, everyone scrolls the entire gallery to find themselves. With Evokly, a selfie is enough, with the guest's consent, and guests can also upload their own photos.

When to stay with Pixieset

Stay with Pixieset if your revenue comes from print sales inside the gallery, if you mostly deliver portraits or couples, or if your clients have never asked where their photos are hosted. Evokly replaces neither a print store nor a contracts and invoicing tool.

How it works

1

Create your gallery

Two minutes: event name, date, and you're set. A QR code is generated automatically.

2

Guests scan and share

Display the QR code on site. Each guest scans, takes photos and adds them instantly. No app needed.

3

Everyone finds their photos

The gallery holds every photo at original quality. On the Event plan, each guest finds their own by taking a selfie.

Frequently asked questions

Can I migrate my Pixieset galleries to Evokly?

There is no automatic import. You download your originals from Pixieset and drop them into an Evokly event, where they are organised by date and by face. Most photographers keep Pixieset until current galleries are delivered and move new clients over.

Does Evokly's white-label hide the brand completely?

On the Pro plan, yes: logo, colours and a dedicated domain, Evokly stays invisible to your clients. On Event Pro, a one-off payment of 199 euros, the branding applies to the paid event.

How much does Evokly cost for a photographer?

Event 69 euros per event, Event Pro 199 euros per event with your brand, or Pro 149 euros a month (1,490 euros a year) for 10 events a month, full white-label and a multi-client dashboard. A free plan lets you test on a small event.

Is facial recognition allowed for a photographer?

Yes, with each person's explicit consent collected before the selfie is taken: it is biometric data under Article 9 of the GDPR. Evokly records that consent with a timestamp and the text version, encrypts the descriptor and deletes it when the event expires or on request.

Your guests already have the photos. All that's missing is the gallery.
