Frequently asked questions
Do my guests need to install an app?
No. Your guests scan the QR code with their phone camera and land directly in the gallery, in their browser. No download and no account are needed to add or view photos.
Is Evokly really free?
Yes. The Discover plan is free and needs no credit card: 1 event, 100 photos, 10 contributors and a gallery kept for 15 days. To unlock everything (unlimited photos and contributors, facial recognition, 6-month retention), the Event plan costs €69 as a one-off payment, with no subscription.
How does each guest find their photos?
Through facial recognition: the guest takes a selfie, after giving explicit consent, and automatically finds every photo they appear in. This feature is available from the Event plan onwards, in full compliance with GDPR.
Who can see my event's photos?
Only people who have the event's QR code or link. You control access and can moderate photos before they are published. No gallery is publicly visible by default.
How long is the gallery kept?
It depends on the plan: 15 days on the free plan, 6 months on Event, 12 months on Pro and 24 months on Enterprise. You can download every photo in high definition before it expires.
