How do you collect all the photos from prom?

Put a QR code at the entrance, on the tables and next to the photo backdrop. Students and staff scan it and add their photos from their phone, with no app and no account. With moderation on, the prom committee approves each photo before it appears, and the gallery stays private to people with the link, which is what makes it workable for a school event.

Frequently asked questions

Can the organisers approve photos before they appear?

Yes. With moderation on, every upload waits in a queue and only becomes visible once an organiser approves it. Nothing is published without a check.

Who can see the prom gallery?

Only people with the QR code or the private link. Nothing is public or indexed, and any photo can be removed at any time on request.

Is facial recognition used?

Only if the organiser deliberately turns it on, and then only for people who choose to use it, with their explicit consent. For a school event, leaving it off is a reasonable default.

Can the yearbook team use the photos?

Yes. Every photo downloads at original quality and the whole gallery comes back as one archive, which is what a yearbook or an end-of-year video needs, within the school's usual image rights rules.
